Terms and Conditions

In order to avoid any misunderstandings regarding reservations, the following are our terms of trading. In choosing Piggy in the Middle as your Hog Roast Service you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Deposits and Payments

A deposit of 20% of the final price is expected to make a firm booking.
The outstanding balance of our fee is payable either by cash on the day of the event or by a cheque payable five working days before your event.

Amendments/Cancellation

Any cancellations or amendments to the booking must be made in writing.
Amendments/Final Numbers by Customers must be made before 7 days prior to the function.  After this time no changes will be accepted, this includes catering numbers, final details on timing, food and special instructions.
In the event of cancellation we require a minimum of 7 days notice otherwise the following fees will apply:
o Less than 24 hours notice  - 100% of hire charge
o Less than 72 hours notice  - 50% of the hire charge
o Less than 7 days notice  - 20% of the hire charge

Force Majeure

We cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the "performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by circumstances amounting to force majeure”.  Such events may include but are not limited to war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial action, natural or nuclear activity, wet or windy weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

Safety First

You are liable for any damage caused by misuse and or theft while the equipment is in your possession. We recommend that you ensure that you have adequate insurance protection for the equipment to the value of £8,250.00
It is a condition of hire that you return the equipment in the same good, clean condition that it is delivered.
Piggy in the Middle accepts no liability for any injury to persons or damage to property incurred while hiring or otherwise using or handling the equipment, however caused.
Children must be kept away from the equipment at all times, but particularly when the equipment is hot or is cooling after use.
Adequate accessibility is required at the venue.
Access to an electricity supply will be necessary.  If this is not possible then a generator can be provided at an extra cost.
